we routinely do fundoplication by robotic/laparoscopic means, usually the plication is 180/270. When severity of reflux is more we do 360° wrapping. Usual Surgery duration is 60mins & its very safe procedure.
We have done more than 1000 procedures by lap/robotic means.
Postop recovery happens in 1-2 days.
with newer robotic instruments the vision is great, plication is perfection & blood loss is nil. Sometimes if the hiatus hernia is big we place bio-absorbable meshes too.

What is Acid Reflux?

Acid reflux occurs when stomach acid flows back into the esophagus, causing a burning sensation in the chest commonly known as heartburn. When this condition becomes chronic, it is referred to as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD).
